Banana Bread Donuts

Donuts

  • 2 Bananas, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 3/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon Salt

Chocolate Glaze

  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Light Corn Syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 tablespoons Water
  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons Cocoa Powder

 

  1. Making the donuts: Preheat oven to 350F; whisk together the bananas, sugar, egg, vanilla, and vegetable oil; in separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt
  2. Fold the dry ingredients into wet ingredients; mix until batter forms
  3. Transfer batter into plastic baggie; snip corner and pipe batter into greased donut pan; fill each cavity to 3/4 full
  4. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool completely before removing from pan top with chocolate glaze
  5. Making chocolate glaze: Whisk all ingredients together in mixer, use water to adjust desired consistency
