Black Bean Burger

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces Black Beans, drained rinsed patted dry
  • 1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3/4 cup Green Bell Pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Yellow Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Feta Cheese
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • Pinch of Salt and Pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325F; spead beans evenly onto a lined baking sheet; bake for 15 minutes until slightly dried out
  2. Saute olive oil, pepper, onion, and garlic over medium heat until peppers and onions are soft, 5-6 minutes; place in a food processor with the remaining ingredients; pulse everything together; add black beans; pulse mixture leaving larger chunks of beans
  3. Form patties using 1/3 cup of mixture
  4. Place patties on a lined baking sheet; bake at 375F for 10 minutes on each side; serve with toppings
