Cheesecake Brownies

Cheesecake

  • 8 ounce package Cream Cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup White Chocolate Chips

Brownies

  • ½ cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 4 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • Pinch of Salt
  • ⅔ cup All-Purpose Flour

 

To make brownies:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F; grease an 8×8 inch pan and line with baking paper
  2. Melt the butter and chopped chocolate in saucepan on medium heat; stir constantly
  3. In medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, and salt; set aside
  4. In large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar; add melted chocolate mixture and mix until it’s evenly combined then gradually add dry ingredients

To make cheesecake:

  1. Melt white chocolate chips in medium microwave safe bowl in 20 second increments; stir after each increment
  2. In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, and eggs; beat until smooth; stir in melted white chocolate until well combined
  3. Pour half of the brownie batter into the 8×8 inch pan; dollop spoonfuls of the cheesecake mixture on top; spread it out into a thin layer with a spatula; top with remaining brownie batter
  4. Take a knife and swirl the top; bake about 25-30 minutes until top is crinkled and center is cooked through
  5. Allow to cool before cutting into squares
