Chicken Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 5 strips of Bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 Chicken Breasts, grilled
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 3 tablespoons Flour
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, shaved
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley
  • 1 cup Petite Sweet Peas
  • 1 box Bowtie Pasta

Directions

  1. Cook 5 strips of bacon; set aside
  2. Cook 2 chicken breasts in 2 tablespoons of butter with salt and pepper to taste; set aside
  3. Cook bowtie noodles then drain; cook sweet peas
  4. Sauce: sauté 3 cloves of garlic; add milk, heavy cream, chicken broth and flour; whisk until smooth
  5. Cook on low heat until it thickens
  6. Add in parmesan cheese; if sauce becomes too thick, add a small amount of chicken broth
  7. Add the bowtie pasta; stir to cover the noodles; add parsley; salt and pepper to taste
  8. Cut up the chicken and bacon into bite sized pieces; mix together
  9. Add chicken, bacon,and cooked sweet peas to the sauce; mix until combined; serve hot
