Bottom Layer
- Yellow Cake Mix
- 1 Egg
- ½ cup Butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer
- 1 (8 oz.) package Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 (16 oz.) box Powdered Sugar
- ½ cup Butter, melted
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Icing
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350F; lightly grease 9×13’’ baking pan; using a mixer in a large bowl, add cake mix, egg, and butter; mix well
- Pat cake mix mixture into the bottom of prepared pan; set aside
- Using mixer and bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; add eggs and vanilla
- Add powdered sugar and beat very well; reduce the speed of mixer and gradually add in melted butter; incorporate well
- Stir in the chocolate chips; pour cream cheese filling onto cake mixture and spread evenly
- Bake for 40-50 minutes; the center should be gooey, don’t over bake
- Remove from the oven and scatter the milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips on top of the bar and let sit several minutes to let them soften and melt; using a knife, spread the chocolate around covering the entire pan of bars
- Allow to cool for at least an hour, then cut into bars
