Chocolate Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 2/3 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Cocoa
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla

Topping

  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Cocoa
  • 1 cup Boiling Water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cocoa; stir in the melted butter, milk and vanilla
  3. Spread the mixture into a greased 1.5 quart casserole dish; set aside
  4. In another bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, salt and cocoa; sprinkle on top of the batter; do not stir
  5. Pour the boiling water on top; do not stir
  6. Bake for 30 minutes until the cake is almost set; the cake will rise to the top and pudding will form on the bottom
  7. Serve warm with ice cream
