Classic Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1 ½ cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 4 Large Eggs
  • 1 ½ cups Buttermilk
  • 1 ½ cups Warm Water
  • ½ cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F; grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans
  2. Mix together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt on low speed with mixer
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed until smooth; divide batter among three pans
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean; allow cakes to cool completely before frosting
