Crescent Roll Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
  • 2 sticks of Butter
  • 1 ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 can (12 oz.) 7 UP or Mountain Dew
  • 2 large Granny Smith Apple, peeled and cored

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F; wash the apples, peel and cut into eight equal slices
  2. Unwrap crescent rolls and separate the triangles; place a piece of apple on each triangle of dough; roll it into a croissant
  3. Butter a 13×9″ baking dish
  4. In separate bowl, combine butter, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla; mix until you get a liquid mixture with lumps; pour over rolls
  5. Pour soda between rolls, NOT on top of rolls; bake for 35-45 minutes; serve with vanilla ice cream
