French Onion Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 Yellow Onions, halved and diced
  • 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise

Directions

  1. In a large pan over medium heat, warm oil and butter
  2. Add onions, cayenne, and pepper; saute for 10 minutes
  3. Reduce heat to medium low, stir occasionally for 20 minutes
  4. Meanwhile, in a medium mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise until smooth
  5. Fold in caramelized onions until well combined
  6. Allow to marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours or more; serve at room temperature
