London Broil

Ingredients

  • 2 pound London Broil Top Round Steak
  • Kosher Salt
  • Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 4 Garlic Cloves, minced

Herb Butter

  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon Freshly Chopped Parsley
  • 2 teaspoons Freshly Chopped Chives
  • 1/2 Lemon, zested
  • 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • Pinch of Crushed Red Pepper Flakes

Directions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together oil, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and garlic
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper; rub oil mixture all over the steak; let sit at room temperature for an hour
  3. Preheat broiler; brush off garlic; place steak on a sheet pan; broil 12-15 minutes until top is charred; flip and broil for 12-15 more minutes until internal temperature reaches 125F for medium rare; let rest for 10 minutes before carving
  4. Herb butter: in a bowl, mix butter with herbs, lemon zest, salt and red pepper flakes until smooth; refrigerate until ready to use; serve on top of London broil
