Smoked Gouda Jalapeno Poppers

Ingredients

  • 2 links Mexican Chorizo, casings removed
  • 1/2 pound Smoked Gouda Cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Red Onions, finely chopped
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese
  • 3 tablespoons Sour Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper
  • 12 large Jalapeno Peppers, stemmed seeded and halved

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F
  2. Brown chorizo in a skillet over medium heat, 8-10 minutes; drain and place into a large bowl; add the cheese, red onion, egg, cream cheese, sour cream, and hot sauce; add salt and pepper to taste
  3. Press the cheese mixture into the jalapeno halves; place on a parchment lined baking sheet; bake until golden, 20 minutes
